Push Windows Company Portal app to Intune enrolled devices
Before jumping on this topic straight away, I would like you to give a read to my previous post regarding how to troubleshoot store app (new) so you will get some additional hint for sure.
Users have the option to utilize the Company Portal app for device management and app installation. You have the capability to assign the Windows Company Portal app directly from Intune using the new Microsoft Store app (new) apps. This method can be used to provision Company portal app on Autopilot devices before user logs in to device.
Prerequisites
Below are the steps you can take to install the Company Portal app. When assigned to the Autopilot group, the Company Portal app will be installed in device context (also known as system-context) and will be available on the device before the user logs in.
Steps:
- Sign in to the Microsoft Intune admin center with your admin account.
- Select Apps > All apps > Add.
- In Select app type pane, select Microsoft Store app (new) under the Store app section.
- Choose Select at the bottom of the page to begin creating an app from the Microsoft Store.
- Select Search the Microsoft Store app (new).
- Enter the text Company Portal, select Company Portal, then choose Select at the bottom of the page.
- Change Install behavior to System, then select Next.
- Select scope tags as necessary, then select Next.
- To Assign the Company Portal app as a required app to your selected device groups, select > Add Group (below Required) and then select a device group to assign the app. After you’ve created all the necessary assignments, select Next.
- Review your settings and select Create.
